On June 17 & 18 we had the pleasure and honor to participate in the FEANTSA Annual Forum in Vienna.

During the General Elections on the first day, Ms. Maria Karra, co-founder of Emfasis Non-Profit and member of the Board of the Greek Network for the Right to Housing, was elected as member of the Administrative Council of FEANTSA and representative for Greece, for a two year term.

Throughout the Conference we visited various organisations & services in Vienna, took part in working groups and intensive workshops which focused on the modern challenges of the multidimensional phenomenon of homelessness across Europe and the rest of the world.

More than 370 representatives from the EU and guests from the UK and Canada, highlighted burning issues in the relevant working groups, including energy poverty and homelessness, right to adequate housing, alliances for social housing, the use of AI to improve homelessness services and invisible homelessness.

After almost 12 years of continuous presence in the field, applying the Streetwork methodology to combat homelessness and exclusion from housing according to the ETHOS typology, Emfasis, as an official member of FEANTSA, will continue to advocate on a pan-European level for the rights of all those threatened by precarious housing, promoting statutory legislative solutions for their relief.
